Tropical Traditions Review and Giveaway

Do you use lotion?

Do you cook or bake?

Do you cloth diaper?

Did you know you can use coconut oil for all of those?

I'm serious!

I love coconut oil for all of the above.  Sometimes I even put it on my hair when dry and leave it all day as a deep conditioner.  Then wash as usual.  It feels amazing.

Lotion.  Yes, I have replaced our daily lotion routine with coconut oil.  It does not leave you feeling greasy like I thought it would.  Its actually quite nice.

I made oatmeal cookies for my three year old to take for snack last week.  The teacher said they were really tasty but there was something different about them compared to other oatmeal cookies she has tasted. I asked what she meant and all the she could say was there was something just a bit different  and they were really moist .   I told them my secret, I replaced the butter with coconut oil.

We cloth diaper.  If you do you know, you can't use just any diaper cream with cloth diapers. What you can use is coconut oil!  It works great all over baby and is cloth diaper safe.

Have you tried coconut oil before? If not, would you like to?  What would you do with your very own 32oz. Tropical Traditions coconut oil?

KIDSANDJEANS GIVEAWAY

This review and giveaway is hosted by The Momma And Boys!

KidsAndJeans was created back in 2009 by a mother of 3 at the time, but now a mother of 4.    She created this page because she was unable to find a website that was solely dedicated to selling children's jeans.  They offer denim jeans from toddlers all the way up to teenagers and they are accommodating to everyone.  In able to be able to accommodate KidsAndJeans offer 'New' section as well as 'Gently Used' section of children's jeans as well as having discounted and designer jeans.

I received 2 used and 1 new pair of jeans and as you can see in the picture they were all in perfect condition and looked brand new. They were great pairs of jeans.

Momma's boy #1 and #2 were very excited to try on their new jeans for me and model them.  They fit all the boys perfectly and they enjoyed receiving them.  This picture is before school and they were so excited to show their friends their new jeans!!   So whether you purchase used or new jeans from them they are all in excellent conditions!!!

Snow day? No way!

We have some decent snow sticking around here in Maryland.  I took my son to school on Friday.  When we got there the teacher said they were closing because it was going to snow again around the time we pick up.  So we made the 15 minute drive back home.  I was kinda excited that he would be home, he only goes to school 2.5.  Still, we had snow to play in.  We pull in the driveway and i tell him since we're already dressed we could stay out and play in the snow.  I was so excited!  Julia has never played in snow and this could be the last chance we have till next winter.  Well, what does a three year old say to a snow day?  No way!  He explained that his shoes would get wet and that he would be too cold.  He would rather have a snack and relax.  WHAT!?  Whose kid is this?  So, there went my exciting snow day.  What are your weekend plans?

Lulu pet care kit GIveaway!!

Lulu's Pet Wash is made strictly for your pets by a company called School of Wash. It is made to help make your animals smell nice, which we all know how much we always want our pets smelling nice and fresh.

I was so excited to receive my Lulu's Pet Care Kit for my dogs.  They have tons of scent options to choose from and the one I choose was banana coconut.  When the shampoo and spritz came I could not wait to try it out on my pets!

This is Ms. Daisy and she is all excited for her bath to try out her new shampoo and spritz. My dogs were really needing to be bathed.  Lulu's Pet Care Kit helped make her not stink anymore.  And I must say the banana coconut smell is amazing.  I love the way it makes my puppy smell afterwards.

Now this guy is Mr. Nibbler!  Since he is a lot bigger dog he usually stinks the worse.  He also suffers from dry skin a lot of the times.  This stuff not only did wonders on the way he smelled, but he also has not been itching as much after being bathed with it.  Also, as we all know that not long after bathing our dogs they stink.  With LuLu's Pet Care Kit the smell last a while on the pet and when it does fade you are able to use the spritz which I just love having on hand to help freshen up their coat with the smell.

Ice, Ice, Baby!

Well, better late then never.  We went to Shrek the halls on christmas and i forgot to tell you about it.  We bought our tickets on sale for $12 and i'm glad we did.  It was fun but not worth the full price of almost $30 per adult.  It was cold.  It was actually freeeeeeeezing.  I think the ice slides made it all worth the shivers though.

I was excited it had Julia's name!

Almost our turn to go in!

FINALLY!!

I'm horrible at making videos :)

That was our christmas.  Did you do anything special?

Farewell, BJCM.

I knew the day would come.  I wasn't as sad as I had originally thought I would be.  You see, the Baby Jogger City Mini is what really started my journey for baby gadget love.  To be honest, i'm not one bit remorseful.   I know I made the right decision.  If you're wondering what i'm using now, it's the Maclaren Techno XT.  The color I have is called bittersweet, looks very much like the persian rose on the website.  Nice suspension, awesome handle height for tall parents like myself and really compact fold.  Now, what should I try next?  Any suggestions?

Micah's first ride in the City Mini.  The blizzard of 2010.  Almost three years ago. (that's my mom)

That's Micah all grown up and baby sister Julia.  This is the City Mini GT double we use on long day outings.

Happy FLU YEAR!!!!

Don't worry, I will not include photos of my new year party.  Mostly because eight out of eight people were sick in my house.  My sister was here with her three kids.  It was quite the week.  I'm not sure exactly what we all had, but with five kids and three adults sick, it was hell.  Once we did venture out to Baltimore, it was a blast with melt-downs, no nap and a head injury.  So, how was your new year?  Do anything exciting?
