I had the same thought.
 My next thought was, would my picky Bones eat it.

He DEVOURED it!   

I'm sure it was in record time too.   We rescued him two years ago from Alabama.  They named him Bones because he was emaciated :(   He looks pretty healthy now,  right? 

  Bones is my dog food tester.

  He's really shy about eating (which is why this pic is from a distance)  If Bones likes, I know it's good.

The snack sticks and Peanut Butter treats were gone so fast.  

 I couldn't get a decent pic.

Earth paste.

I have discovered a recipe for a all natural cleaner. 

 The best part?  It actually cleans!  I was a sceptic at first, but no more. 

You can even eat it, I won't judge you...to your face.

It's  a thick and gritty texture.

I applied it all over my sink and let it sit about 5 minutes.

I scrubbed it down with my blue sponge and rinsed with water.

VOILA!

Isn't she beautiful! 

Thats my all natural Earth paste. 

Ready for the recipe?

Earth paste

1 2/3 cup arm & hammer bakig soda
1-2 cup liquid soap (not detergent)
2 tbsp water
mix with fork until smooth
add 2 tbsp white vinegar (add last)

mix

store in a sealed container.

If it gets dry ,just add more water.

Now go clean!

Labor pain

This video is great. 

 It's sure to go viral in the next 24 hours. 

 Two men go through a hour of simulated labor contractions. 

 I wish every expecting father had to endure this. 

School's out!!!!!!

The day has come.  It's the last day of school for my four year old.  I'm sad and happy.  Happy I don't have to plan our days around school and that he won't miss out on fun stuff with friends that don't go to school.  Sad that his routine will be disturbed and I won't have the two hours to spend with my one year old just her and I.  I think it wil be a fun summer though.  My kids are finally at the age where that can play with friends and not need me so much. 

 One thing I was stumped on was,  what to give the teachers.  I couldn't think of anything.  I have giving gifts when you really don't know someone.  I decided to just keep it simple and practical.  Those are the gifts people are enjoy most, in my opinion.  I gave the teacher and her helper each a potted flower with a card.  The card reads "Thank you for helping me grow."  I also included a $10 gift card to Star Bucks in each card and tied a pack of Ferrero Roche on the cards.  Sweet, simple and practical.  I hope they enjoy.

no slippy hair clippy

Looking for a hair clip that stays put?  Look no further.
 I was thrilled to review no slippy hair clippy and put it to the test.



My 18 month old LOVES hair clips.  I've  been lucky to have a toddler that doesn't rip them out of her hair. I would always grab whatever clips were in the baby section of most large warehouse stores.  Sadly,they slide out on their own.  So, we put these clips to the test.   I was sent 1 ¼” Mini Clip, 1 ¾” Pinch Clip, and 2 ⅜” French Clip and clipette's.  I am pleased to say they withstood my tots super active day and she never once noticed it in her hair.

She loved this flower clip the best.  It stayed in her hair all day without ever needing adjusted.




I will add the Julia has thick spiral curls, so getting a clip in her hair can be difficult.
We had no problem doing so with these.

Serendipity!

We had a great day in Georgetown on Friday.  My husband took off work to spend the day with us.  I bought tickets for a DC boat tour on a daily deal site and wanted to use use while cherry blossoms were in bloom.  Unfortunately, they hadn't bloomed at the time.   We still had a great time.  I was ecstatic when we stumbled across a place to eat I had been wanting to try for years.

Yes, that Serendipity.  Actually it's Serendipity 3, but it's close enough.

I shared nachos with the kids.
I was saving room for the moment I had dreamed of for years.

 
Daddy has his usual, a burger.

Then it was time.  

The moment I had been waiting for.

My frozen hot chocolate arrived.

YES!  It was everything I had dreamed of.

I even shared!

It was magnificent!

We spent the rest of the day strolling Georgetown and took the kids on a boat tour.  It was a great day and I'm happy we're able to do it as a family.

Beautiful day on the Potomac.

Squishy snak pak

We love snack pouches in our house.
So I was thrilled when i received the Squishy Snak Pak.





I love the peek-a-boo window on one side.

Filling was easy.  Make sure you have the cap on tight first.  Fill from the bottom.  Press the seal like you would a plastic freezer bag and you're done.  That's it!

Lets talk about cleaning.  We are a dishwasher family.  I rinsed out our Squishy Snak Pak with warm water and put it on the top rack of my dishwasher.  It came out super clean.  No extra rinsing or scraping out gunk.  I plan on buying a few of these as baby shower and birthday gifts.   I think it would be fun to have different colors for siblings.  Otherwise I have no complaints and highly recommend this brand of food pouch. I'm also very pleased with the price for this product.  I hope you enjoyed my review.

Who doesn't love cookies and candy?

I DO!

The awesome thing about these cookies and candy is they are all ORGANIC!  Newman's own has done it again and this time we aren't just talking about salad dressing. 

It's easy to confuse Newman's Own and Newman's Own Organics products. NOO started as a division of Newman's Own in 1993 by Nell Newman and her business partner, Peter Meehan, but became a separate company in early 2001. The two companies have separate lines of products. 

I was so excited when this box of NEWMAN"S OWN ORGANICS arrived.  Knowing i had to narrow it down to three items for my giveaway, was so hard.  Everything was delicious. 

I'll start by saying, i've never been a fan of ginger.  However, I tried the Hermits and WOW those things are awesome!  Micah's favorite is the Chocolate Newman-O's.  Julia has a favorite snack, so it was no surprise her choice were the thin pretzels. I am so happy one of you will get to try our favorites.

Great Wolf Lodge

We did it!  We took our first family trip!
We had such a blast and the kids did too.
So, where did we go?  Great wolf lodge in Virginia.
There was something  for all of us to enjoy.


 My three year old is convinced he is a pro surfer thanks to this attraction.

Even my husband tried it out and he is not one for trying new things.

  Here we are on our first and only big slide.  I felt sick after and he was terrified.

The baby loved walking in the water and it was great to have area shallow enough for her to do that.

      These slides were in the little kids area too.

Micah was scarred of the show and hid behind me.

It wasn't long till he was fast asleep.
